Cleric Urges Prisoners To Seek God

can Church, Rivers Diocese, Rt Rev Isaac Adeniyi A. Falana (JP), has charged prisoners to take advantage of their condition and turn to God for divine intervention in their lives.
Falana gave this advice to inmates of the Port Harcourt prison when he visited the place as part of activities marking his five-day Episcopal visit to the Port Harcourt Archdeaconry of the church recently.
The man of God said, no matter how difficult one’s experience at any circumstance in life, if one recognises the importance of God as the creator, and turns to Him, the almighty God forgives and brings a transformation in him or her.
Falana, who led a team of men of God and elders of the church to the visit presented food items and toiletries to the inmates.
The man of God also visited some communities and branches of the church, amongst them were St Michael’s Church Angulama in Asari Toru Local Government and Peculiar Evangelical African Church, Omoko-Aluu in Ikwerre Local Government Area.
The man of God who regretted the devastation in Angulama Community as a result of past militant attacks preached the word of God to the chiefs and people of the community, advising them to forget the past and reunite as a people for God to revive their lives for better.
He particularly urged them to forgive one another to enable God intervene in the life of the community.
The Archdeacon, Ven Ebenezer Olushola Ogunbiyi, in his sermon at Peculiar Evangelical African Church, Omoko Aluu, charged Christians to show love to one another and increase their faith in God.
The Episcopal visit also touched the lives of inmates of Port Harcourt Orphanage Home as well as Home for the Elderly, Port Harcourt with food and house items.
