RIRS Pledges Transparency
The Rivers State Board of Internal Revenue Service has restated her commitment towards transparent and effective revenue generation in the state.
The Director in charge of Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) in the Board, Mr. Austin Ntor-Ue disclosed this in an interview with The Tide in his office in Port Harcourt.
Mr. Ntor-Ue said that the board is working hard to remove all bottlenecks associated with effective revenue generations in the state.
He stressed that it is in a bid to actualise this, that the board is meeting with stakeholders in the sector to sensitise them on the issue.
According to him, part of the issues being addressed with stakeholders include, ways of processing tax clearance in the state.
Mr. Ntor-Ue said that, towards this end, the board will be organising a one day workshop on ways of improving the processing of tax clearance in the state.
The workshop according to him is targeted at Directors of Finance in Ministries, Departments and Agencies as well as Treasurers of Local Government Councils in Rivers State.
He said that the workshop will provide updated information on filling of form for H2 PAYE calculation, using the consolidated relief and tellers for tax clearance request, amongst others.
