Sharks, Dolphins Set PH Aglow, Today
Sharks Football Club’s stadium, Port Harcourt will be the place to be today as it hosts a globacom Premier League’s Week 25 derby fixture between Sharks FC and Dolphins, both of Port Harcourt.
It is the second league match at the venue after construction works and football fans would be looking forward to another keen contest between the two sides.
The local derby is certain to see passion run high, not only on the pitch, but also on the terraces where the respective supporters club would want to out do each other.
It is obvious that both clubs will not only struggle for points, but will also battle for bragging rights in the city.
The reverse fixture in week five ended in a draw and both sides shared the point at stake at the Liberation Stadium. Today, Dolphins will want to have their own pound of flesh. But Sharks need the maximum points badly to improve themselves on the league table.
Currently, Sharks are at the bottom of the table while the visitors are on nineth position with a more successful outing this season.
Today’s encounter will go beyond two sisters or brothers playing, because the technical adviser of Sharks, John Obuh was contracted to ensure that the club is out of relegation zone and we has assured to deliver. That is the more reason why the team will go all out for victory. There are indications that Dolphins would be going for the maximum points to keep their aspirations of effectively contesting for the season’s title on track.
