Tonto Dike Drops New Single, Sugar Rush …As Nkiru Sylvanus Bounces Back To Nollywood

the entertainment industry has it that Rivers State born Nollywood diva, Tonto Dikeh has finally dropped her new single titled “Sugar Rush”, featuring D’Banj, boss of DB Records Labels which happens to be Tonto Dike’s Music Label. The tracks of the new single were produced by Deevee from Lee Temple, a member of DB Records family.
The controversial actress who is also called ‘Poko Lee’ made her debut in Nigeria music industry last year.
However, fans of the actress cum singer who listened to the new single said the music which was recently released sets DB Records on high mention on the social media, especially of its beat perceptual auditory association to trending song ‘Dorobuccc’.
However, the subject matter of Sugar Rush as a song dwells on love which clearly differentiates it from the earlier said Look alike Dorobucci. The introduction from D’Banj is endearing and Tonto did well in her entrance, hitting her verse with right keywords that best passes her messages to the listening public.
It is expected that the song with its high commercial value can possibly generate massive down loads, air plays and awareness for the newly signed Tonto in the Nigerian music clan.
Meanwhile, Nollywood A-List actress Nkiru Sylvanus has bounced back to Nolly wood after missing in action for more than a year. The long awaited comeback is through her debut movie the Voice which to many movie buffs looks like a personnal experience of her kidnap saga.
It will be recalled that Nkiru Sylvernous, Former Special Assistant to governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State on Lagos affairs was kidnapped in December 2012 along side one of her colleagues, actor Kenneth Okolie. In this movie she explains what people go through in the hands of their abductors, what she learnt and many more.
The movie features Kenneth Okolie (Former Mr Nigeria), Larry Briggs, Betty Njoku – Olumowe, Edwards Fom, Daniel Lloyd and the producer, Nkiru Sylvanus. The flick is a thriller just to thrill the viewers with very important message and morals to teach.
Synopsis: Sandy (Nkiru Sylvanus) had been told by a stranger named Jeremiah (Larry Briggs) that she will die, he tells her that three unusual events will precede her death and they all happened the way the stranger said.
On the 90th day, another stranger named Solomon (Kenneth Okolie) turns up and wants her money and may be her life. So, he kidnaps her and holds her hostage until he could access the N10 million cheque she had given him. Would she have the wisdom to live with him and would he have the patience to keep her alive?
It is just 5.00pm, they have till 12 midnight of the 90th day to decide that the movie is one you will like to watch over and over again. The flick is expected to hit movie shelves after its premiers on July 13, 2014 at the Oriental Hotel Lekki Lagos.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
