The infomraiton cur
rently making waves in the entertainment industry has it that the twin brothers Peter and Paul Okoye who have worked together as a singing cum dancing duo for close to two decades might be going their separate ways following an alleged series of fracas.
According to our soruce, the brothers got into serious fight on Wednesday April 16, 2014 which left one of them slightly injured. It further stated that the relationship between the brothers had deteriorated to a point where they are considering splitting their assets as they plan to go their separate ways.
It was gathered that apart from the inauguration ball of the new Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano which the two attended and performaed in March 17th 2014 in Awka, they have turned down a few appointments.
Those in the know, say it was the feud that drove them out of this year’s star trek organised by Nigerian Breweries Plc, they were even invited to perform at President Jonathan’s daughters wedding, but they did not go.
The Tide entertainment also learnt that the recent brouhala rocking the camp may have little or nothing to do with their wives as insiders explain the war within as a climax of their rivalry since they were kids and there is no song or album they have made that they have not had quarrels.
According to our source, the duo almost never agree whether it is on choice or songs to release, costume concept or dance routine.
Our source also disclosed that the brothers are really angry at each other and want to share every thing they owned together. It was gathered that a lawyer was said to have visited them penultimate week to commence sharing of their assets. Peter P-Square joint ventures is expected to be shared.
P Square own everything together including a house in Omole, park view and Atlanta in the United States of America.
Since dropping their debut album in 2003, the Pop duo have been known for releasing albums every two year interval. They debuted in 2003 with the album ‘Lastnite’, released their second album, “Get Squared in 2005, dropped the very successful ‘game over’ in 2007, Danger 2009 and ‘invasion ‘ 2011.
Peter the better dancer of the two sings less while Paul the better singer dances less, their last video ‘Alingo’ and ‘personally’ explains this best. They did not keep up to their record as a sixth P-Square drop. It was gathered that the duo have drifted apart and fatigue has set in.
It seems the brand P-Square is dying a natural death after a successful 10 years run with millions of dollars in their accounts, awards on their shelves, many industry watchers say given it a rest might not be a bad idea, what is hard to explain is the method of their separation.
