FCTA To Get SURE-P Fund For Apo-Karshi Road
The FCT Administration
will receive N1.8 billion intervention fund from the Subsidy Reinvestment Empowerment Programme (SURE-P) to complete the Apo-Karshi ongoing road construction work.
The Director, Satellite Town Development Agency (STDA) Mr Tukur Bakori, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Abuja.
Bakori said that the intervention fund would be released to the agency as soon as the budget was passed by the National Assembly, adding that it would fast-track the completion of the project.
“Some ongoing road projects are slow because of lack of fund, but SURE-P has intervened, what we are now waiting for is for the National Assembly to pass the budget.
“Once the budget is passed, the road will be completed within a short time because SURE-P has captured the remaining outstanding fund for the completion of the construction,’’ he said.
He said that SURE-P also captured the completion of Kuje-Gwagwalada road on the budget with the sum of N400 million.
The director also listed Galuwu-Shere road in Bwari Area Council.
