Agency Constructs 100 Boreholes In Four Years

he Edo State Rapid Re
sponse Agency (EDRRA) last Tuesday said it had constructed no fewer than 100 boreholes across the three senatorial districts of the state in the last four years.
The Managing Director of the agency, Mr Stanley Dako, disclosed this when he received an Award of ‘Excellence’ from the Southern Nigeria Youth Congress in Benin.
Dako also said that the agency had employed more than 10,000 youths under the state Youths Empowerment Scheme, within the period and explained that the agency was set up in 1999 to execute jobs through direct labour and to ensure speed.
Dako noted that so far the agency had kept fate with its mandate, adding that the success recorded by the organisation was possible only with the support of the present administration.
The managing director, however, assured that the agency would not relent in its efforts to ensure more success and meeting the demands and aspirations of the Edo people.
Earlier, the President-General of the Congress, Mr Amstrong Ovie-Afabor, said that the award was in recognition of the recipient’s achievements in the agency and that the rehabilitation of roads by the agency had improved socio-economic activities in the state.
