Commissioner Reads Riot Act To Staff
The Rivers State Com
missioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, has warned that there will be no room for laxity among staff in the Ministry and its parastatals this year.
Ibim Semenitari who gave the warning at a communion/breaking of bread service by the Ministry at the weekend in Port Harcourt said that no manner of indiscipline would be condoned by the Ministry, adding that everyone must do his work diligently.
The Commissioner also warned against acts that are inimical to the progress of the Ministry and its parastatals, stressing that this year, everybody must do the right thing so as to attract the blessings of God.
She decried poor attendance at the service and directed heads of parastatals of the Ministry to query staff who were absent from the programe.
Speaking on the theme: unparallel favour, the guest preacher, Pastor Luiz Minakaro of Arena of Praise Ministry listed conditions for God’s favour to include righteousness, wisdom, among others.
He said that the right thing was for men and women to take firm decision to serve God, as those who continue to wallow in sin cannot attract divine favour this year.
The Clergyman urged them, to ask God for wisdom, warning that they must give no room to enemies to take away their altars of prayers.
Pastor Minakoro however predicted that the hand of God would come upon the Ministry this year and commended the Ministry for the annual fasting programme.
A cross section of staff of the Ministry who spoke to newsmen during the service commended the commissioner for her foresight in instituting the annual fasting/prayer programme.
