Index Up By 30.14 Points At Exchange
At the end of last
week’s transaction on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), All –shared Index appreciated by 30.14 points to close at 41,480.62.
This is compared to 41,450.48 points traded by investors in the previous week at the exchange. Market capitalisation according to NSE statistics grew by N10 billion or 0.07 per cent to close higher at N13.275 trillion, as against the N13.265 trillion traded by investors in the previous week.
Investor’s 1.72 billion shares valued at N22.44 billion exchanged hands in 29,600 deals at the floor of the exchange, compared to two billion shares worth N15.91 billion that were traded in 17.378 deals in the preceding week.
HIS Plc led the price gainers chart for the week after making 20.0 per cent or 53k gain to close atN3.18k per share.
Royal Exchange Assurance followed with 14.55 per cent or 8k gain, to close at 63k per share.
However, Portland Paints Products Nigeria lost 15.45 per cent or 85k per share to led the losers table, closing at N4.65k per share.
