Implement Uwais Report .. ARP Urges Federal Government
The Rivers State Chapter of the African Renaissance Party (ARP), has called for the full implementation of the Justice Uwais Electoral Reform Report.
The party which said this in a communiqué made available to newsmen at the end of its conference in Port Harcourt also urged the government to step up efforts toward providing security in the country.
The party also commended governors of the Niger Delta states for pledging to set aside 20 percent of their annual budget for the provision of physical structures in the region and stressed the need for the governors to ensure step up efforts towards providing security in the country.
According to the party, in civilised societies, the Justice Uwais report could have been swallowed hook line and sinker stressing that, the content of the report reflect the desire and ultimate expectations of Nigerians.
The party also stressed the need for the government to include all class of the society in the current rebranding campaign.
The party also commended Governors of the Niger Delta States for pledging to set aside 20 per cent of their annual budget for the provision of physical structures in the region and stressed the need for the governors to ensure that the decision is faithfully implemented.
The communiqué which was signed by the state chairman Rev. Bisi Odotu and public relation officer, Comrade Enyindah, also stressed the need for the government to ensure that all sections of the constitution are faithfully implemented.
