2014: Rivers Civil Servants Hold Prayer, Dedication Service, Wednesday
The 2014 New Year Prayer and Dedication Service for Rivers State Civil Servants has been scheduled to hold on Wednesday at the State Secretariat Complex, Port Harcourt.
Organised by the office of the Head of Service, the programme which has as its theme: “Faithfulness In Service”, is billed to kick-off at ten O’Clock in the morning.
The programme is designed to enable the workforce express gratitude to God for his guidance and protection in the year 2013.
It would feature re-dedication of the civil service to God, to ensure diligent and quality service delivery to the government and people of the state in 2014.
A joint statement by the chairman, Planning Committee, Mr Rufus Godwins and chairman, Publicity and Contact Sub-Committee, Mrs A. C. Dokubo says, the Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi will be special guest of honour, his deputy, Engr Tele Ikuru, would serve as guest of honour, while the chairman, Civil Service Commission, Sir Ngo Martins Yellowe, will chair the occasion.
The statement further added that the Dean of Saint Stephen’s Cathedral, Bonny, the Very Reverend Richard Hart would be Guest Preacher, while Apostle Zilly Aggrey of the Royal House of Grace is special guest.
The statement appealed to all invitees to attend the programme, which has the Head of Service, Barrister Samuel LongJohn as host.
