The Tide Hails Repositioning Of State Media
Management of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC) has commended the Rivers State Government for steps being taken to reposition the corporation in line with modern practice in the media industry.
A statement by the General Manager of the corporation, Mr Celestine Ogolo, states that the renovation of the administrative and commercial buildings of the corporation has given a facelift to the corporation and enhanced commercial visibility to the establishment.
According to the statement, government had also made substantial payment for the provision of a goss-community Rotary Printing machine that would change the face of The Tide as well as reduce the cost and time of production.
‘With the arrival of the rotary machine, The Tide would start production on all three titles (The Tide Weekend, The Tide On Sunday) and in full process colour that would place the newspaper among the best in Nigeria, while serving the greatest interest of the government and good people of Rivers State’, it stated.
The statement acknowledged the contributions of the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, whose able midwifing of the transformative agenda of Governor Chibuike Amaechi had been remarkable.
While encouraging the state government to sustain the dream that necessitated the establishment of The Tide newspapers, the management pledged on behalf of itself and staff of the corporation to reciprocate the good gesture of the Rivers State Government by rising to the demands of their calling.
