Glo League: Enyimba Hangs To Top Spot
Enyimba have
maintained their leadership of the Glo Premier League after Week 35 round of matches were played on Wednesday.
Enyimba played out a 1-1 draw with Shooting Stars at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan, after the hosts were awarded a penalty to cancel out Andrew Abalogu’s opener for the People’s Elephant.
Chinedu Udeagha was amongst the goals for Rangers as the Flying Antelopes clawed out a valuable point away to Sunshine Stars in Akure after both sides played out a 1-1 draw.
Bayelsa United kept up the pressure on Enyimba by beating visiting Warri Wolves 1-0, while Akwa United were held to a 0-0 draw at home by visiting Nembe City.
After a slow start to the season, Sharks continued their impressive run with a 3-1 home win over Heartland in Port Harcourt, while Wikki Tourists and Lobi Stars recorded 2-0 home wins over Kaduna United and Gombe United respectively.
The game between Kano Pillars and Kwara United was interrupted by heavy rains after 32 minutes, with the hosts leading 1-0, the match will likely be completed on Thursday.
The game between El Kanemi Warriors and Dolphins will be played tomorrow (Thursday).
