CDC Pledges Partnership On Dev
The Community Development Committee (CDC) of Obrikom Community in Ogba/ Egbema/ Ndoni Local Government area, Rivers State has pledged to collaborate with other corporate bodies operating in the area to usher in a new level of development in infrastructural and human capital advancement.
The CDC’s chairman, Mr Paul Isiodu told newsmen shortly after the inauguration of the CDC that the era of violence, and militancy was over rather, the new executive committee will adopt dialogue and negotiation in dealing with the multi-national firms such as the Agip Oil Company in piloting the affairs of the community.
Mr. Isiodu however, noted that except it becomes absolutely necessary and unavoidable; his administration will opt for diplomacy in dealing with other stakeholders, adding that Obrikom will explore new vistas of opportunities.
He solicited for support from all indigenes of Obrikom and companies and promised to run a transparent and accountable administration devoid of rancovr, bitterness and anti-societal vices.
According to him, the new executive committee of the CDC will transform Obrikom to a modern city through infrastructural development and human capital advancement.
The chairman charged NAOC to step up their corporate responsibility to the people of Obrikom and charged the youths to always engage in constructive dialogue rather than violence.
The CDC secretary general, Clinton Amadike called on federal, state and Ogba Egbema Ndoni authorities to consider citing projects in the area in view of the Obrikom’s contributions to national economy.
Those elected included Paul Isiodu (chairman), Clinton Amadike (Secretary), Abali Akaji (Vice Chairman), Francis Ohia (Asst Secretary), Emeka Okoro (Treasurer), Innocent Nwokocha (Fin. Secretary), Innocent Nwaogu (PRO), Christopher Obiodu (Organising Secretary, among other ex-officio members.
