Cleric Predicts Brighter Future For Rivers
The Founder and General Overseer of the Vineyard of the Lord Mission Nigeria, Rev. James Friday Egbe has called for unity among various segments of Rivers people to move the state forward.
Speaking shortly after his enthronement as the Bishop of the Church recently in Port Harcourt, Rev. Egbe said that both the State and the government would come out stronger from the present political crisis in the state. The cleric noted that the only thing that was required of the people is continuous prayer and at the same time giving their support to constituted authorities.
He also thanked God for the elevation, promising not to compromise the task entrusted to him as the Bishop of the church and representative of Pilgrims Ministerial Association USA Rivers and Bayelsa Arch Diocese.
The Bishop who attributed his elevation to God, said it would further strengthen him to carry the gospel of Christ to all nooks and crannies of the state and country.
Performing the consecration, which took place at the Church Auditorium Eagle Island Port Harcourt, the Presiding Chancellor and Founder Pilgrims Ministerial Association in Nigeria, His Grace Archbishop Professor Cosmos Okpo said that Bishop Egbe had gone through all the necessary requirements, and declared that by the consecrvation, Bishop Egbe had been given the mantle to do exploits in the service of God.
He urged him to see his elevation as a task to be more committed in the service of God, stressing that the mandate of leadership has been evoked upon him for a mission.
