HOS Inaugurates Board Of Survey
The Rivers State Board of Survey has been reconstituted with Mr Austin Ezekiel Hart as Chairman. Speaking while inaugurating the reconstituted Board in his office in Port Harcourt, the Head of Service, Barr. Samuel LongJohn charged them to be above board and discharge their duties within acceptable practices in the Civil Service.
He urged them to take the assignment seriously and not to see their appointment as a means of enriching themselves as well as ensure that their actions are devoid of unnecessary criticism.
According to the Head of Service, the terms of reference include, among others, to compile a list of unserviceable and waste government assets, determine the description, location and quality of items as well as the method of disposal in accordance with relevant rules guiding such operations.
Barr. LongJohn, enjoined them to look into other matters that may arise in the course of actualising their functions.
Responding on behalf of members of the Board, the Chairman, Mr Austin Ezekiel Hart thanked the Head of Service for the opportunity given them to serve and promised to discharge their assignment diligently.
Other members of the Board include Mr Iworiamapirima Aggo, Engr. Tony Cliff Nduka, and Mr Second George, while Mr Donatus Nweneka and Mr Tubotamuno Abbey would serve as secretary and assistant secretary respectively.
