Confederations Cup: We Will Make Africa Proud –Keshi
Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has assured that his team will make the whole African continent proud with their performance in the FIFA Confederations Cup next month.
Keshi made this assurance in an interview published on the official website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
“It’s a great chance for Nigeria to play in such an important competition. We’ll do our best there to give a good image for the African football.” he told the CAF site.
The Super Eagles coach who is currently in Cairo attending a 3-day symposium organized by CAF for analysing the last two Nations Cup tournaments (2012 and 2013) delivered a lecture titled “Believe in African coaches” in which he made a case for indigenous coaches to be given a chance by African football administrators.
Nigeria will compete with the likes of Spain, Tahiti and Uruguay in Group B of the Confederations Cup which will take place in Brazil between 15 – 30 June.
