NIPR Holds Lecture On National Orientation ’Morrow
The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Rivers State chapter will tomorrow hold a public lecture in Port Harcourt.
The lecture titled, “The Task of National Orientation: Gains, Prospects and Challenges” will be delivered by Mr. Oliver Wolugbom, Zonal Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Rivers State.
The lecture is part of the professional development programme of the chapter which is meant to empower its members and other members of the public.
The lecture will hold during the chapter’s general meeting at the chapter secretariat, GRA Port Harcourt, at 2pm prompt.
A press release issued by chairman of the Professional Development Committee, Sir Jossy Nkwocha, and chairman of the chapter,Mr. Karibi George, stated that the lecture will be moderated by the General Manager of The Tide Newspapers, Mr Celestine Ogolo.
Special guests include Commissioner for Information & Communications in Rivers State, Mrs Ibim Semenitari, fellows of the institute and a host of top practitioners of Public Relations in the state.
According to the release, Mr. Wolugbom was chosen for the lecture because of his rich experience using public relations tools and strategies in managing national orientation.
“It will afford him the opportunity of sharing his experiences and ideas with younger colleagues”, the release stated.
