Firm Wants NTDC To Partner Airlines On Tourism
The Managing Director, Zenith Trend Travels and Tours, Mr Olumide Ohunayo, has urged the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) to collaborate with airlines to woo more tourists.
Ohunayo told journalists in Lagos that the collaboration would further create awareness about existing tourism locations in the country.
He said “Air transportation and tourism complement each other and essentially need to work more closely for mutual benefit and greater impact.
“Airline business is paramount to the development of tourism. It plays a major role in the development of tourism and the economy,’’ he said.
Ohunayo said that the two sectors needed to work closely to achieve faster growth and development.
He described both sectors as the bedrock of socio-economic development of the nation.
Ohunayo said that Nigeria had some of the best tourism sites in the world, adding that with robust air transportation system, it would witness an influx of tourists.
He urged government to support the growth of air transportation and tourism.
