Youth Leader Tasks RSG On Infrastructure Dev
President of Rumuolumeni Youths, Comrade Kenneth Orlumeni has called on the Rivers State Government to address the poor state of infrastructure in the community.
Comrade Orlumeni during a chat with newsmen recently in Port Harcourt, lamented the poor road network and other facilities in the area.
The Youth President noted the state of Mgbuoduhia, NKpor and Iwofe road and remarked that the road provide link to many villages and multinational as well as government owned University of Education.
Comrade Orlumeni advised contractors handling the work in the area to expedite action to avert the area being cut-off from other parts of the state considering that it houses sensitive oil servicing companies, the Naval Ship Yard and barracks.
He recalled that the Commissioner for Works, Chief Victor Giadom at a meeting he held with the people last year, promised to expedite action on Rumuolumeni Road.
“If nothing is done now that we have dry season, the road may suffer setbacks because it will be difficult to construct once the rain sets in”, he added.
He however, thanked the Nigerian Police Force in the area for curbing crime and protecting lives and properties.
