Monarch Lists Panacea For Peace
Peace and mutual understanding have been identified as factors that could lubricate the wheel of production in Ogbaland to enable the people contribute meaningfully to the growth of the nation’s economy and democracy.
The Eze Buruzorchi of Ogbaland, His Majesty, Eze (Dr) Moses Ezi Igwe II, made this known while briefing newsmen in his palace at Omoku town, headquarters of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State recently.
He said that peace and mutual understanding creates room for sustainable development and urged leaders, public office holders and the people to be lovers of peace.
Eze Moses Igwe expressed optimism that the level of peace which presently prevail in Omoku area occasioned by effective performance of the Joint Task Force and other security operatives will yield long term benefits to the people.
He thanked charity organisations, public spirited individuals and philanthropists who identified with flood victims in the area during the upsurge, adding that the flood experience was unfortunate.
The Royal father who observed that the presence of both state and federal government was less felt in the area enjoined Rt. Hon Rotimi Amaechi and President Goodluck Jonathan led administrations to locate public infrastructural facilities in the oil rich area as a strategic means of ameliorating the plight of the people.
