Dame Amaechi Tasks Health Providers On Local Tools
The wife of the Rivers State Governor, Dame Judit Amaechi has charge operators of the Hallelujah Acres, a Non Governmental organisation that advocates the use of faults and vegetable in healing, to make their teachings more meaningful to the average Nigerian family, by encouraging the use of local tools Murta – Pistol, rather than the use of blending Machines.
Speaking during a one-day health seminar by the organization in conjunction with the Diocese of Evo, Anglican communion, with the theme “you don’t have to be sick,” held in Port Harcourt last Tuesday, Dame Amaechi noted that the machines that are use by the health providers might not be affordable by the average family in Nigeria.
She urged the Hallelujah Acres to seek ways to encourage the use of local methods to extract Juice for healing which will make it more meaningful for many families.
She thanked the organizers of the event, noting that anything about health is what every body should embrace, and urged the participants to put to practice what they had learnt.
In his lecture, the Chief Medical Director of Acron Medical Consultant Prof Onwuchekwa explained that cancer-related illnesses have remained a major health challenges and urged people to take more vegetables and fruits in their diets.
He disclosed that tobacco, obesity lack of exercise as well as eating wrong diet were causes of sickness and untimely death.
In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa stated that many people were not aware of what nature has deposited in their environment and had not made good use of these resources, adding that the seminar was put together for that reason.
In his vote of thanks, the chairman of Halelujah Acres Nigeria, Sir Godfrey Ohuabunwa said the teachings of his organization were based on God’s way to ultimate health.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
