The Chairman, Committee on Women Affairs, Mrs Elizabeth Ativie, representing Uhunmwode constituency, made the call under matter of public importance.
She said the call became necessary because the camps had been experiencing security challenges, especially at night.
The member also called on all relevant stakeholders to provide electricity at the camps.
“When the committee visited the camps with relief materials, it discovered that they were in total darkness and this can pose serious security threat to the people,’’ Ativie told the House.

She also called on the various local government areas in the state to provide generating sets at the camps.
