RSG Restates Commitment To Due Process
The Rivers State Government has restated its commitment towards due process and transperancy in all public procurement processes in the state.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Information and Communications, Mrs Jokotade Adamu said this in Port Harcourt while declaring open a competitive bid for the production of the 2013 Rivers State Government Calendar and gift bags.
Mrs Adamu who is the Chairman of the Ministry’s Tenders Board said that openness and accountability will remain the watchwords of the Board.
The Permament Secretary said that the Board will examine all submissions made by the competing companies with a view to identifying any shortfall, adding that a technical committee will also be set up by the Board to look into the submission.
She stressed that the idea is to ensure that no company is short changed in the process, pointing out that the Board will further look at the various financial quotations issued by the bidding companies, while the delivery period as expressed by the companies will be thoroughly examined.
The Permanent Secretary commended the representatives of the various companies involved in the process for displaying a high level of maturity and urged for it to be sustained.
Among the companies bidding for the contract include multinational concept limited, colour plus digital imaging, and Apara Printers and converters limited.
Others are, Jema prints services Limited, Acute project Limited, fine prints and management Limited and peace Hut publishing Limited.
