Amaechi Charges Youths To Worship God
The Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has charged youths to always worship God so as to guide them through their endeavours in life.
Governor Amaechi who gave the charge Saturday night at a thanksgiving and Christian musical festival organized by the Rivers State Government at Alfred Diette Spiff Civic Centre, Port Harcourt, said it is good to worship God as He is the key to success.
The Governor who narrated his experiences with God during his quest to become Governor of Rivers state, said he made a vow to evangelize for God as well as to institute a fellowship for Him.
He cited a fellowship in Government House that takes place every Friday from 12 midnight to 6.00am in the morning since he became governor, where people pray and worship God as a fulfillment of his vow of evangelizing for God.
The State Chief Executive, emphasized the need for Christians to surrender all their life to God, noting that he must continue to carry the gospel of God to the churches as well as to the people of Nigeria.
The Governor attributed the successes recorded by his administration to God, stressing that all the decisions he had taken, were done after seeking God’s approval before going ahead to implement them.
He enjoined the people of the state to continue to pray for the present administration in its task to develop the state, adding that God has a reason for putting him as the Governor of Rivers State.
The event was attended by the wife of the Governor, Dame Judith Amaechi, members of the state Executive Council, clergyman as well as Nigerians and international gospel musicians.
