Medical Lab Scientists Demand New Service Scheme
The national committee of heads of schools and departments of medical laboratory science of teaching institutions in Nigeria has called on the Federal Government to initiate new scheme of service for lecturers in schools of medical laboratory science comparable to what is obtained in similar training institutions.
The committee called on the medical laboratory council of Nigeria to step up effort for the immediately take off of the new fellowship programme, a step it noted would expand the level of knowledge and improve the still and efficiency of practicing medical laboratory scientists.
The communiqué also in a seven point communiqué issue by the public relation officer of the committee, Obong Nkereuwem S. Etukudoh Secretary Prince Richard A. Agunlejika and chairman Prof. Gilbert Nwobu, the meeting observed that only this would rule out discrimination and boost the morale for optimal performance by the lecturers. Commended the government board of the committee for approving induction ceremony for products of graduate studentship programme.
