Cleric Tasks Nigerians On Patriotism

Embassy Nigeria, has blamed the underdevelopment of Nigeria on the lack of
spirit of patriotism among Nigerians.

who said this during the grand launch of the 2012 Reachout Nigeria Campaign in
Port Harcourt said that most Nigerians lack the ingredients of patriotism towards
the nation.
Pastor Eze who spoke on the theme:
“Reachout Nigeria with Rhapsody of Realities: An Effective Movement for Social
Change”, said that the Reachout Nigeria campaign which debuted twelve years ago
was meant to instill the spirit of patriotism among Nigerians.
He said that the Rhapsody of
Realities publication has also emerged as the most widely read and accepted
Christian devotional book in the world, pointing out that millions of copies of
the book are being circulated annually in more than 160 nations and being
translated in 161 languages of the world.
He said that the Reachout Nigeria
programme with Rhapsody of Realities has also succeeded in making its mark on
the government and peoples of Nigeria, inspiring renewed hope for the future of
the nation.
Also speaking on the theme: “Reachout
Nigeria in pursuit of True patriotism”, the zone one Pastor of the Church,
Pastor Tony Aduroja said that the campaign has changed the course of
independence day celebrations in Nigeria.
Pastor Aduroja said that Reachout
Nigeria campaign has rekindled in Nigerians the spirit of patriotism that
drives men to live for their country and die if need be to protect her
ideologies.
Wife of the South South Pastor,
Mrs Joy Amekhenam urged Nigerians to embrace Christ as that will turn around
their lives.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
