Civil Servant Launches Gospel Music Album
Gospel music has been described as instrument for soul
upliftment in the service of God and humanity in the society.
Dr Roberta Dosunmu stated this on Saturday during the launch
of a music album presented by Miss Abigail Tamunobo Pius in Port Harcourt.
Dosunmu, who is also the deputy provost of the Rivers State
College of Arts and Science expressed delight at the performance of the artist,
stating that gospel music is meant to glorify God and transform society.
She stated that God will be uplifted and blessed the artist
for her talent, and prayed that God should give Miss Abigail the inspiration of
the Holy Spirit to produce more albums that would help to change the society.
Dosunmu also prayed that the Holy Spirit would continue to
inspire Abigail to produce more music for soul upliftment and glorification of
God.
Earlier in her speech, Miss Tamunobo-Pius said love for
music that would glorify and edify God compelled her to take up the challenge
to praise Him, adding that she has a talent which she decided to reveal to
the public.
Abigail assured that she had composed many songs which will
be released soon, and urged musicians to focus attention on God Almighty.
Abigail, who is a staff of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency,
further advised musicians to always be upright and worship God in truth so that
they can be inspired by the Holy Spirit to produce more edifying music.
