The Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON) on Tuesday said that it would collaborate with the state governments to shut markets that had high concentration of substandard products.
The Director General of the organisation,Dr Joseph Odumodu, told our correspondent on Tuesday in Lagos that the measure became necessary due to the uncooperative attitudes of some traders.
He said that in spite of the constant raid on markets to rid them of substandard products, many traders were still defiant.
Odumodu said that SON found it imperative to seek the assistance of the state governments to tackle the trading in substandard products.
