RSG To Unveil Seven Model Schools, September
About seven of the new model secondary schools will be unveiled by September, Governor Chibuike Amaechi has announced.
He gave the hint while speaking at a Church Service in Gateway International Church, Eliparanwo yesterday in Port Harcourt.
Amaechi said,’’ the schools will provide free boarding, feeding, uniforms and it’s for indigenes and non-indigenes”.
The Governor said the schools boasts of state of the art facilities.’’ If you see our secondary schools you will like to go back to secondary schools again.’’
The Governor also enumerated some of the milestones of his administration remarking that,’’ we have for now, the best primary education you can think of in the country’’.
He assured of his administration’s plan to raise power provision before the year ends, stating that already more sub-stations to aid electricity distribution has begun.
Reacting to call by some of the church members on job creation, Governor Amaechi opined that his administration was poised to diversify the economy and boost agriculture.
He also explained the benefit of the Public Private Initiative policy adopted by his administration especially in Housing provision.
Rt. Hon.Amaechi maintained that since government could not address the housing problem of the state it adopted the PPP policy for its new Greater Port Harcourt City, to derive affordable housing scheme for the people of the state.
