Yar’Adua Sends 7 Bills To Senate
President Umaru Yar’Adua has forwarded a bill to the Senate to enforce the payment of property tax in the Federal Capital territory.
The bill entitled Bill for Property Tax was among seven others that were sent to the Senate by the president.
In one of the seven, Yar’Adua is seeking the approval of the National Assembly to legitimise the ban of commercial motorcycle within the vicinity of Abuja metropolis.
In a letter to the Senate President, Senator David Mark, and entitled Bills From the Federal Capital Territory Administration, Yar’Adua urged the Senate to expedite action on the bills.
The letter reads, “I forward herewith for your kind consideration and passage into law, the under listed bills.
Bill for property tax, bill for Hospital Management Board, bill for prohibition of use of Motorcycle for Commercial Purpose, Bill for FCT Agency for Mass Education, Bill for FCT College of Education, Zuba, Bill for Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Bill for FCT Directorate of Road Traffic Service and Bill for Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service.
