2 Brigade WASA Holds, Saturday
The annual West African Social Activities (WASA) of the 2nd Brigade, Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt, has been slated for February 18, 2012.
A press release signed by the chairman of the WASA committee, Lt Col. N.U. Muktar indicated that the West Africa Social Activities (WASA), is an Army get-together where officers, soldiers and their families and friends entertain themselves to celebrate the end of the year, while ushering in the new year.
According to the release, the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi will be the special guest of honour.
The event will also feature cultural dances, tug of war, presentation of prices, awards and gifts, beating of retreat and lighting of camp fire.
