Royal Father Solicits Community’s Support
Former General Manager of Rivers State Tourism Board and now the Eze Njah Nwadei Nwaogbuehi V of Ogbaland, Eze Okechuku Jameson Izidor, has solicted the support and cooperation of his community, Kriegani in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government area to move the area forward.
Izidor made the appeal at his reception shortly after his coronation by the Eze Aliuso Ozimini I of Ogbaland, Eze A.G. Osiagor in his palace at Kriegani recently.
He stated that for any community to grow and develop, the people and their leaders as well as traditional rulers must work together, pointing out that his acceptance to ascend to the throne was borne out of the desire to contribute his quota to the development and progress of the community.
The tourism board ex- GM however traced the history of Kriegani community to the old Benin empire in present Delta State.
According to him, “As a Christian, I accepted the offer as a mark of love and respect for my people and to contribute my quota to the leadership and development of the Kriegani community and Ogbaland at large”, and called on the people, especially traditional rulers to change the orientation of Libation and resort to committing everything they do to God through prayers.
In his speech, the Eze Ali Uso Ozimini I of Ogbaland, Eze A.G. Osiagor represented by Chief Isioma Aduche Okerekpe enjoined Izidor to use his wealth of experience to administer his domain and the affairs of his people creditably.
He called on the government to accord the Eze Njah Nwadei Nwaogbuehi stool the rightful recognition and expressed optimism that Eze Okechuku Izidor would use it for the best interest of his people.
