Simplified Cup: Okrika Zooms To ¼ Finals
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Okrika Local Government Council of Rivers State, Princess Ogan has praised her team for defeating their Opobo /Nkoro opponents 2-0 at the ongoing Simplified Governor’s Cup in Port Harcourt.
She described the Simplified Football competition as very good because everybody will leave politics and come to enjoy themselves, adding that she has a good time watching the games.
Ogan made the remark on Tuesday in her post match interview with sports journalists shortly after they defeated Opobo /Nkoro team 2-0 at the Sharks Football Stadium in Port Harcourt.
According to her, she was proud that Okrika team overcame Opobo /Nkoro, adding that the game was a very good one.
“ You know it is Simplified Cup, a platform where everybody will leave politics and become a sporting person to play football.
“ I enjoy the game today and I am proud we defeated the Opobo /Nkoro team.
“ I want my team to be more committed as they move forward.
“Today, they have done well and they can still do more.
“ We are going to see how we can support them. I understand what their problems are. I will take it from there as a government,” Ogan said.
“I think going forward, we will support the team, they are doing very well.
“ They have been in camp for some time now and we have been supporting them and we will still continue to give them more support,” she said.
