I’ll Follow In Fubara’s Footsteps – ABOLGA Boss
The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Abua/ Odual Local Government Area, Comrade Madighi Dickson, says his mission as an appointed CTC chairman, is to key in and follow in the footsteps of Governor Siminalayi Fubara, by making sure he replicates whatever the governor is doing at the state level in the LGA.
“This, I will do by providing empowerment for the people, installation of sustainable infrastructural development projects and above all , make peace with all men”.
Comrade Dickson who stated this during the commissioning of another 500KVA transformer, for Elok and Iighom communities, at Okpeden area of Abua, said it was the 6th 500KVA electricity transformer by his administration, which was being powered and commissioned for communities without electricity for the past eight years.
He said: “Other communities that have enjoyed similar gesture within this short period, include Ogbema, two of 500KVA transformers. Ayama, has one, Emilaghan, among others”.
Accompanied by his Caretaker Committee members, former State House Assembly member, Solomon Sokolo, leaders of Simplified Movement, Dr Ken Uworm, Dennis Dema and other prominent stakeholders in Abua/Odual, Comrade Dickson explained that his administration had so far empowered over one thousand youths, across the 13 Wards of the Local Government Area.
He said, “we have developed a data bank for those who are physically challenged, irrespective of age or sex, and we have commenced a special empowerment programme for this category of persons”.
Earlier, the spokesman of Elok and Iighom communities, Chief Isaac Akari, on behalf of the paramount rulers of both communities recalled how previous administration in the local government council, had promised and failed them, describing the gesture, as a miracle.
He, however, appealed to the CTC chairman to assist them with portable water and effective phone system following a thunder storm disaster that destroyed and killed people on an already installed Mask I, by one of the Service Providers.
