Members of the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) have been called upon to shun all acts of indiscipline and misconduct in the discharge of their national assignment.
The Acting Zonal Director, Zonal Post-Primary Schools Board in Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Mr. James Augustine made the call at the sensitisation programme organised by the Batch “A” Corpers in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.
Mr. James told the NYSC members at the forum designed to educate the students of Government Secondary School Eneka, that they have a crucial role to play in building a decent society.
The Acting Zonal Director also advised the NYSC members to use their wealth of learning and experience from their universities to educate and impact positively on those they come in contact with especially the students.
He explained that the NYSC programme was designed to enable members appreciate the culture of other people, serve the father land and contribute their quota to nation building.
He therefore charged them to rise to the challenge of credible service to fatherland, believing that at the end of the exercise, they will have cause to celebrate their service to humanity and the Nation.
In his welcome address, the principal of the school, Chief Rowland O. Onuma thanked the NYSC members for choosing the school as a pilot centre for the sensitisation programme.
