CAFCC: Rivers United Skipper Sure To Win Tournament
The Captain of Rivers United FC of Port Harcourt, Nyima Nwagua, has expressed optimism that his team will emerge champions of this year’s CAF Confederation Cup (CAFCC), tournament. According to him, their mission for this year competition is to win and nothing more than that adding that they have been in the quarter final before but this time is a different ball game.Nwagua stated this on Sunday in a chat with Tidesports shortly after they booked a place in the quarter final of CAFCC 2-1 against Dreams FC of Ghana at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The number one man of the team expressed joy saying that sometimes you get winning of a game in the early minute and sometimes you get it late adding that against Dreams FC they got it late.
He explained that their mission in the continental game is to take Nigeria higher in the game pointing out that they have been in the quarter final before but this time it their time to win the tournament.
“ I am very excited over the result of today’s game because we are the last hope of Nigerians.
“Our mission is to take Nigeria higher in the tournament.
“I want to thank Nigerians for their support and most especially fans and supporters that traveled from far and near to support us “ he said.
