Israel, Hamas War: Peace Ambassador Seeks UN’s Intervention
Following the rising number of deaths of women and children in the ongoing Israeli and Palestinian conflict, United Nations Peace Ambassador, Ngozi Chidi, has appealed to the international community to intervene and bring the conflict to an end.
This was contained in a press release signed by Comrade Christian Isaac, a copy of which was made available to The Tide in Port Harcourt.
According to the release, Amb. Chidi, said this in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt to commemorate the 24th October 2023 United Nations Day as the International Association of World Peace Advocates, joined in the celebration alongside UN@78 in Abuja, Nigeria.
She said, “Time has come for the international community to bring the crisis to an end as more pregnant women and children are dying daily from the conflict.
“I am calling on the United Nations and the whole of the international community to intervene and bring an end to this war”.
She lamented the sufferings as a result of the war, adding that the world must intervene now to ensure that the war does not spread.
