Chairman of Asari-Toru Local Government Council, Hon. Onengiyeofori George, last week hosted a media parley at his office in Buguma, headquarters of the local government area, where he unveiled his two-year scorecard as chairman.
At the parley, Hon. George presented a report highlighting the achievements, activities, and progress made during his two-year tenure as the Council Chairman, which include a detailed account of the developmental projects initiated and/or completed, policies implemented, and Community-centered initiatives during his two-year reign.
In addition to sharing his accomplishments, the Council Boss further pledged to continue working towards more improvements in the future, with a commitment to addressing the needs and concerns of the local communities in the LGA and making further advancements.
The event, according to Hon George, served to reaffirm the confidence of the constituents of the LGA in the Chairman’s leadership, with the Local Government benefiting from a range of projects and initiatives under his administration.
The media parley showcased the Chairman’s dedication to transparency and accountability, as well as his commitment to further enhancing the local government’s development.
Fielding questions from the seasoned media personnel ranging from security to environmental-cum-economic sabotage, human empowerment to social welfare, and from basic amenities to plans for the Tema-Ifoko Road project, the media interaction was aimed at keeping ASALGANs informed and to further boost their budding trust for the “Asalga-First” Administration under the leadership of Hon.
