ANDEO COMMENDS PRESIDENT TINUBU FOR OVERHAULING NNDC BOARD
The Amalgamation of Niger Delta Ethnic Organizations
ANDEO a coalition of community based groups has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reconstituting the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC Board
The Coalition Community based group described the reconstitution of the NDDC Board by the President as a fresh air in the commission
ANDEO also prayed for continuous peace and development in the region called for development and empowerment of youths of the region
The Organization who clamoured for regional development and environmental preservation described Mr President as a listening leader
The Group stated this in a statement signed by Acting National Coordinator, Comrade Hope Erekosima and made available to the The Tide in Port Harcourt
The statement commended the President for listening to the yearnings of the Niger Delta people by approving the reconstitution of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC
The Coalition groups also hail President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for reappointing Chief Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director of NDDC
According to him, a situation where people across ethnic lines, spoke in one accord for the reconstitution of the Board points at the fact that the people has faith in the Commission and that the Board plays a key role in the smooth running of the agency’s.”
He opined that the region and nation should expect a better deal as the team of sound minds assembled by Mr. President, with a track record of accomplishments cutting across private and public sectors, gives hope to the people of the region.
Erekosima urged the Board Members to shun political underhand and work like a responsible team so as to see the fruition of the dreams of the promoters of the agitations that gave birth to the Commission.
He applauded the President for identifying with competence by reappointing Chief Samuel Ogbuku as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission
He called for synergy between the NDDC Board, the governor’s of the region and legislators to ensure regional peace and development and that they should support the lofty ideas of Mr. President in seeing to the repositioning of the States and region as a preferred investment destination, a glory it once had.
The Chairman also appreciated the ethnic nationalities for walking the path of peace and encouraged them to continue in peace and seek means of developing their communities.
