Rivers Community Lauds Fubara Over Ring Road Project
The people of Ogbogoro Community in Obio/-Akpor Local government Area of Rivers State have commended the state Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara for the consideration of the community as one of the benefiting communities where the proposed Port Harcourt Ring Road will pass through.
The Paramount Ruler of the community, Eze Felix Amadi made the commendation while addressing newsmen at the community’s Town Hall over the weekend.
He also commended the Governor for identifying the need to construct Internal Roads in the area to link the Ring Road which he said, will boast economic activities in the community and the State at large.
Amadi opined that the importance of the ongoing construction of the Ring Road on the economic and social political development of the State can not be over- emphasised and added that the roads when completed would open up the affected local government areas as many development partners of the State would begin to identify with key development needs in those communities where the road will pass through.
The Ogbogoro monarch used the opportunity to assure the state Governor and the contracting firm handling the road projects on the readiness of the people to ensure that they are completed as scheduled.
He called on the construction company handling the Ogbogoro axis of the Ring Road to ensure it employs the youths and other young people residing in the area during the duration of the work in order to create jobs and stop social menace in the society.
