FG Approves N1bn For Purchase Of Vehicles For NPA, Others
The Federal Government, through the Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the sum of one billion Naira for the procurement of 19 vehicles for the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
FEC also approved the procurement of 192 motor vehicles for the operations and administrative use of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, disclosed this to journalists shortly after the FEC meeting chaired by Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo at the Council Chambers, Presidential Villa, Abuja, last wednesday.
Shehu said, council equally granted approvals for three contracts totaling about N44.2 billion for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

The approved Toyota brands vehicles include Prado, Corolla, Camry, Land Cruiser and ambulances in the total sum of N9.649 billion naira, including VAT with a delivery period of four weeks.
Recall that two weeks ago, the Council approved the sum of N510.1 million for construction and supply of customised fire service search and rescue vans for use at Rivers Ports, Lagos Port Complex, Tin Can Island Port and at the NPA headquarters in Lagos.
Also last week, it approved the renewal of the at $29.87 million (N12.4 billion) contracts between NPA, Light Tow Terminal, LTT Coastal and Marine Services Limited for the management of tugboats, pilot cutters and mooring launches at the Lagos Port Complex ,Apapa and Tin Can Island Ports Complex.
