Traditional Rulers Laud Wike Over Akpabu-Omudioga Link Road
Traditional rulers in Emohua Local Goverment Area of Rivers State have lauded Governor Nyesom Wike over the construction of the Akpabu/Itu-Omudioga road and Akpabu/Itu-Omudioga-Egbeda link roads.
Speaking during the commissioning of the road projects, recently, they said the link roads have opened the areas for investments, while the people of the area now have a sense of belonging.
Paramount Ruler of Akpabu/Itu Kingdom, HRH Eze Godwin Chukwuemeka Ordu, said his people were happy over the construction of the roads and the level of infrastructural development across the state.
“I, on behalf of the good people of Akpabu/Itu Kingdom, wish to use this medium to commend the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike, for the construction of Akpabu/Itu- Omudioga Road.
“We are happy for this infrastructural project in our area. We are eternally grateful to Governor Wike and his team for what they have done for us”, he said.
The traditional ruler expressed satisfaction over the quality of the work, noting that the project has opened windows of opportunities for investors.
“In fact, with this new road, there will be connectivity among traders and farmers and others who do business in our areas”, he said.
The monarch urged the youths to remain law abiding and friendly to investors who might take advantage of the opportunity to come to the area for investment.
On his part, the Secretary of Omudioga Clan Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, Chief Goddy Samuel, also commended Governor Wike for the road projects in the area.
According to him, it is the first time the clan would witness such a road project.
He, however, appealed for the reactivation of the Omudioga Health Centre, saying the health institution is completely dilapidated.
