Delta Assures Non-Indigenes Of Govt’s Support
The Delta State Commissioner for Information, Chike Ogeah Esq., has assured non-indigenes living in the State of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s readiness to touch their lives positively.
Barr. Ogeah, who gave the assurance while receiving Members of Yoruba Community in Delta State, led by its President, Rev. Dr. M.A Ajenogboju in Asaba, said that the present government would continue to accord them the needed attention in the scheme of things.
He said that they had already become worthy citizens of the state, adding that they should continue to support Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan in his drive to actualize his 3 point agenda, even as he stated that their appreciation of the Governor’s effort at ensuring their welfare would engender him to do more for them as well as the state in general.
Earlier, the leader of the group, Rev. Dr. M. A. Ajenigboja, said that they were in his office to congratulate him on his well-deserved appointment, saying that his credibility over the years was a factor that led to his appointment.
Rev. Ajenogboja commended the Governor for his appointment, stressing that the Commissioner’s appointment showed that the Governor was sensitive to the needs of the people.
He said that the governor had done a lot for the state, saying that he should not be deterred by the actions of the opposition since he had been piloting the affairs of the state creditably well.
In a related development, the commissioner also played host to the members of the Asaba Christian Believers Association, who paid him a courtesy visit.
The commissioner urged them to pray fervently for Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in his desire to give the state good governance.
