RSG Poised To Provide Quality Roads
The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari has reiterated the determination of Rivers State government to provide quality road to the people.
The commissioner announced this during a Press Briefing at the Ministry of Justice Conference Hall in Port Harcourt.
Mrs. Semenitari said that, construction of roads will commence immediately after the rains in the next 30 days and appealed to the people to be patient.
She stated that approval has been given for the establishment of fish farm at Buguma to produce about 1,000 tonns of fish per annum, while potable water is being provided to local government Areas.
According to her, Government is putting in a lot of measures towards job creation as a result of Songhai farm cassava initiative and this will add value to the State.
In his keynote address, the Commissioner for Works Chief Victor Giadom stated that there are over 230 ongoing road projects at different stages of completion and assured the people of the State of massive road construction soonest.
In his speech, the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr Nabbs Imegwu appealed for participation in the forthcoming Carniriv coming up in December.
