Rivers Judiciary Begins 2022 Vacation
As part of the Judiciary’s annual rituals, the Rivers State Chief Judge, Justice Simeon Chibuzor-Amadi, has announced the commencement of this year’s annual vacation of the High Court beginning from Monday, August 1 to September 13, 2022.
A statement from the state Judiciary and signed by the Chief Registrar of the High Court, Mr David Ihua-Maduenyi, on behalf of the state chief judge, said the proclamation of vacation was in pursuant to Order 45, Rule 4D of the High Court of Rivers State Civil Procedure Rules.
The statement, however, said during the period of the vacation, all judicial divisions of the court shall be closed, adding that only appointed vacation judges would be in court to attend to urgent matters.
