A political group with the name, ‘Rivers SIM Support Coalition-RSSC’, has declared its total support for the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Amaopusenibo Siminialayi Fubara, in the 2023 elections.
This is even as the leadership of Sim People United Network Organisation (SPN), Asari-Toru Local Government Area chapter, has reiteratedits commitment to deliver the Rivers State PDP governorship candidate, Siminialayi Fubara, to victory in the 2023 elections.
Shortly after its inaugural meeting in Port Harcourt at the weekend, National Coordinator of RSSC, Comrade Godswill Iyerifama Jaja, said after exhaustive deliberation on the players in the state’s political arena, it was throwing its weight behind Fubara because he was the best choice for Rivers people.
Against this backdrop, the coalition said it has perfected plans to establish offices in the 23 local government areas to mobilise eligible electorate ahead of the elections.
Jaja, while urging the citizens to register for their permanent voters’ cards, reasoned that if Fubara was voted in the 2023 elections, he would secure the future of the state.
The RSSC national coordinator said that so far, the state Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike-administration has performed excellently well in infrastructure provision, saying that the PDP guber candidate would consolidate on the gains already made and even do more.
On his part, Secretary of the group, Dr. Chukudi Onyezi, assured that RSSC was made up of grassroots politicians who were ready to sensitise the grassroots on the need to vote Fubara in the 2023 elections.
Onyezi said that in the assessment carried out, the PDP candidate does not have a match in next year’s elections.
He expressed the hope that Rivers people would make a wise choice by voting PDP in the 2023 elections.
