NIEEE Inaugurates New Chairman, Others In Rivers
The Nigeran Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), Rivers State branch, over the weekend invested, Engr Chidinma Ibeh _Dimmwobi as its new state chairman .
Performing the investiture of Engr Chidinma Ibeh Dimmwobi alongside other members of the state executive council of the institute ,the National Chairman of the institute ,Engr Akan Michael urged them,to show commitment, diligence and dedication in piloting the affairs of the institute in the state.
Akpan, who was the chairman of the occasion urged the new executive to work assiduously with the leadership of the State House of Assembly for the enactment of a bill on decentralisation of electricity supply and distribution for effective public consumption.
In her post inauguration speech, the newly inaugurated state chairman of the institute, Engr Chidinma Ibeh _Dimmwobi assured that the new executive under his watch will ensure that they justify the confidence reposed on them ,adding that they will work as a team to keep the dreams of the founding fathers of the institute alive .
“I will not allow the labour of our founding fathers go down the drains. We will improve on capacity building. The Nigerian Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers was established in 1984 for the development of members potentials, “she stated .
She used the medium to call for support from members, ,adding that the new executive is poised to taking the institute to a greater height .
Ealier in his address of welcome ,the immediate past state Chairman of the institute, Engr Azuka Jude Opogu thanked members of the association for the support given to his leadership and urged them to extend same to present executive to enable them succeed in their mandate.
