Union Hails LG Boss Over Market Project Completion
Bonny Creek Road Market Association has praised the efforts of Bonny Chairperson of the Local Government Council, Dame Anengi Barasua, for the construction and commissioning of the ultra modern market built by the council.
Leader of the association, Ekey Prosper, commended the council’s chairperson, expressing optimism that more traders from the market would have more opportunities to trade in the market.
Prosper commended Barasua for her political will in commissioning the market project, stating that majority of the beneficiaries are members of the association.
He urged the council boss to continue in her good works, noting that her leadership has brought notable developments to the council and the local government area at large.
Responding, Dame Barasua reminded the union that spaces had already been allotted to its members who ought to have presented themselves to the panel in the ongoing physical verification exercise for allottees, being conducted by the Market Adhoc Committee at the Council’s Secretariat.
She assured them of the continuity of the fair play that is already being entrenched in the allocation and verification process, announcing that the Creek Road and Beach Markets would seize to exist after the relocation process was completed.
Highlight of the visit was the presentation of a birthday gift to the local government boss.
