300 Benefit From Rotary Club Medical Outreach
Over 300 persons have benefitted from a free medical outreach organised by the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt South in conjunction with the Eze Gbakagbaka of Evo Kingdom, Eze Leslie Eke in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
The outreach tagged: 2021/2022 late Prof Wokoma Eye Camp/Health Outreach held at the Rumuodomaya Civic Centre.
President, Rotary Club of Port Harcourt South, Rotarian Preye Miebai said the effort was part of the humanitarian activities of the club.
Miebai said the programme, which holds annually, was part of the club’s commitment towards improving the health conditions of the people.
According to him, this year’s programme, which is the signature project of the club, was in honour of late Prof Friday Samuel Wokoma, the 26th president of the club.
Also speaking, Chairperson, Medical Committee, Rotary Club, Port Harcourt South, Dr Manda David-West, said over 300 persons were expected to benefit from the medical outreach, including adults and children.
She also said the programme would improve the health condition of the people.
On his part, the representative of the Eze Gbakagbaka of Evo Kingdom thanked the club for the gesture.
Eke, who was represented by the Nyenweli Rumuodomaya, Eze Apkunonu Bright, thanked the club for choosing the community for the medical outreach.
Some of the beneficiaries, including Jaman Otulenye and Vivian Epelle, commended the club for bringing the programme to Rumuodomaya community.
